Join me, Amy Jane van den Bergh, for a relaxed Friday night of ink, play, and creative unwinding.

In this After-Hours Ink session, I’ll demonstrate the beautiful and slightly magical process of gouache resist — a technique where we use gouache to block out areas before layering ink over the top, revealing striking contrasts and unexpected textures.

Once you’ve seen the process, the evening is yours. I’ll have snacks ready, the studio will be open, and you can settle in and create as many experimental images as you’d like using the technique. It’s less about perfection and more about exploration — letting go, layering, discovering.

Perfect if you want to end your week in a creative flow state, try something new, or simply spend a cozy evening making alongside other artists.

All materials included. Just bring yourself and clothes you don’t mind getting a little inky.
